I recently received a flour mill as a birthday gift. This is something I’ve been wanting for a while, and I was really excited. I’ve heard and read about some of the benefits of cooking with flour that has been freshly-milled – that it is healthier and more nourishing. As I have begun baking with this flour, I quickly realized there’s a learning curve here. So much to think about – converting recipes, adjusting kneading times, understanding how soon to use your flour, how long to store it…
So please join me as I bake lots of bread and other things. I’ll share recipes that I try, and all the tips that I think are helpful to anyone starting to use freshly-milled flour.
